Night Market

We went to a night market tonight. I bought linen pants, a CD, and a scarf.

The night market is close to a red light district too so we saw that as well. Until now, the only evidence of the sex industry stereotype I've seen here are the number of older white man with younger Thai girl couples. It's still really disturbing to see just how many couples like that there are around town though. Maybe it's just the stereotype, maybe they really are in love, but something about it is just more sleazy than in Beijing. There are more of these couples and the girls are younger. In Beijing it just feels like the men are desperate for anyone and the women want to move to the west so they get married and both sort of get what they want.
