In China, this would be 50 cents!

I know, I know, I say that too much, but it's true! Things here are just way overpriced. My latest example of outrageous prices is the cost of removing a tree. There was a bad thunderstorm last night and the result this morning was no power and a lot of downed trees in the neighborhood. A big branch of one of our maple trees broke off, luckily only hitting the very edge of our roof. It'll cost ~$800 to cut down the rest of the tree, which is pretty unstable looking, and $200 to take away the stump. I'm not saying this isn't a competitive price, but think of what you can get in China for $1000!
