Honking

I've decided that drivers in China are actually a lot more cooperative than American drivers. On our way to and from LuGuHu we took a winding road that went through the mountains. Everytime we went around a curve our driver honked, letting other drivers know we were coming, in case they didn't realize someone was in the middle of the road just around the bend. If we needed to pass another vehicle, our driver would send out a friendly few honks just to let them know we were about to pass them and they should move over. So really all this honking isn't rude or anything, it's a method of communication where the drivers acknowledge each other on the road. Pigs and goats adhere to the honking rules as well, nicely scattering to the side of the road when they hear the honks. Cows seem a bit more stubborn.
