Kunming

We wanted to go the Stone Forest today. We were about to just take the train there but a woman from our hostel said that she and some other people were going there and we could catch a ride with them. A man from Hebei (near Beijing) wanted to scope out a good place to go rock climbing so they were going to go to non-touristy places. Unfortunately the man's friend didn't give him very good directions and we ended up lost amid the various stone forests. No matter, it was pretty fun going around the ones we did see. Besides, I had been to the main one in 2000.

Ate the famous "guo qiao mi xian" (crossing the bridge noodles). It's a bit like pho. Once again, they just don't live up to the Americanized version in Maryland. :)

Probably heading out to Dali tomorrow.
